Pinning has been going on...

Sorry Its been a while since my last post but I promise you I have been marking off some of my "Pins".  And here is the list of them ready set GO....

First here is a picture of the baby beanie I crocheted..

Second up we have some very yummy Pizza balls I saw on Pintrest and can I just say they are a huge hit! You can find the recipe here. Note: when making them the thinner the dough around the stuffings the better! :) We also made some homemade pizza sauce and dipped them in that so they were not dry. Two Thumbs Up!! So to make these yummy finger foods :
You need your favorite pizza dough, cheese, and desired fillings.
Take a small ball of your dough and flatten out then place fillings and cheese chunk in the middle of dough bring the dough around the fillings and pinch it shut place seam side down in a greased pan. Rub olive oil on the tops then sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake at 350 for 12 min or until light brown on top.

Third I saw something similar to this bow on pintrest but didn't actually pin it and just made it up as I went. It turned out Ok but I think I might try making it a little smaller next time.

Last these are not a pin just some fun super yummy cup cakes I made. This frosting is so yummy and fluffy and perfect for decorating. Remember the Monster cake? This is the recipe I used for his hair. It is

Butter cream frosting
Note: I know this is not a true butter cream recipe but it is great for decorating because it keeps its shape!
1 cup Crisco
1 stick butter
1tsp Meringue powder
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp Vanilla
2 lb powdered sugar
Food coloring of choice (optional)

First cream crisco, butter, and Meringue together. Then add milk and sugar mix for 3 min or so until it gets nice and fluffy. Then add vanilla and food coloring. If it is to stiff to work with add more milk 1 tsp at a time until you get desired consistency!

Enjoy and Happy Holidays

Warning Chocolate overload!

So I have been fallowing Dana over at http://www.dana-made-it.com/ which is totally amazing! Last week she posted these yummy looking cookies, they are Double Dark Chocolate Pomegranate cookies! I just had to try them and with baking season in full swing it was not hard to find great deals on all the ingredients.

picture from Dana-made-it
Sorry I dont have pictures because I made them and took them over to my hubbys work while they were still warm. They were a huge hit! One of the guys at his work took a bite and then said to my hubby "Oh man you better be careful or your gonna gain weight because your wife makes such good food!" Cracked me up when he told me. Over all these cookies are awesome! And one thing that is great is you get your chocolate fix with just one cookie since they are so rich. Head on over and whip up a batch for yourself, You will not be sorry! Happy baking!

Crochet

I have always been in awe of the beautiful things people can crochet and knit. For example this little jacket with attached hood my grandma made for my little one.

I dont think i will ever be that good but i have wanted to learn. The only problem is I rarely have time seeing how I have 3 little ones to take care of which makes keeping count (which is a must) very hard.
Well I finally found a few crochet projects that are very beginner, which I am, don't take that long and are easy to know where you are.

First we have a baby beanie here is the video tutorial I found on youtube.

(I don't have a picture of mine that I made because I left it in the car and the hubby has the car at work with him.)

I made a second attempt at making this pattern the bigger size like she mentioned but Im pretty sure I added to much because I ended up with a circle. On the plus side I learned how to make a hot pad. lol

my second attempt=hot pad!
Then I saw this cute apple slice and searched and searched for a pattern, I finally found one here.

Then last Thursday I ran across this Pin which is just so darn cute and the easiest project of the three!

When I did the first on (the one on the right) I was making it from memory which I did pretty well but forgot to read the last steps for adding on to the flower petals. So I just added what I wanted it to look like and in the end I have a "ruffle/wavy" like flower. I also just used the hook I had so it made it a little bigger since my hook was bigger. Im not sure what I will do with them yet but Im thinking it will look super cute on a hat with a button in the middle. What do you think?

Love these shoes!!

Ok so I did not make these but the first time I ever saw them was on Pinterest. After I saw these toms I searched and searched for them but never found them in my size until last week here! I was hoping for the bright green ones but they were out. so I went for the nude and can I just say I LOVE THEM!!
And did you know that for each pair of shoes you purchase from Toms they will give a pair to a child in need?! How great is that!
The next project Im working on is a crochet one! I am a beginner at this so I will be doing an easy/beginner project! It is an apple slice dish scrubby which is super cute.

Have a great night!!
