They are first come first choice. So please leave a comment so that we all know which ones are still available. They are priced at $20 each.

Each will require 5 Ice blocks which can be found at Target. Here is the Link So you know what to look for.

If we run out of one of the genders please comment which gender you need and don't worry I will work on more. Thank you again for all your support.

Freezer Paper Stenciling... Oh it is FUN!!

On Wednesday I got on kick of doing more freezer Paper Stenciling and totally forgot how addicting it is! The thing I love about this is I can do whatever you want, well actually whatever you have the patience to cut out. haha So today I am going to give you a brief tutorial on how to do it, don't worry we will start out simple.

The items you will need are

          -A printer
          -The image you want
          -freezer paper
          -exacto knife
          -Iron
          -fabric paint
          -Paint brush
-Cloth Item you want to place image on -in this case a T-shirt

Start out by finding your image you are wanting to add to your T-shirt. I got my image from this site that I found while googling nerdy images, she provided the image for those that want it which is amazing.  Then you need to print it out at the size you want it for your T-shirt. There are two ways you can do this

1-you can tape a piece of the freezer paper to a piece of regular printer paper and print on the non-wax side of the freezer paper

2. You can print it off like normal lay the freezer paper over the top of the image and cut it out with the exacto knife

I chose the first as pictured which I got from Here.

After you have your image cut out and ready to go,

get the iron nice and hot. Place the freezer paper image, shinny side down, on the T-shirt then slowly go over it with the iron to make it stick securely to the fabric. If you have little pieces that need to be added do that after you have the main piece secured down and add the one at a time to get the proper placement.

Once the image is on good get your paint and paint brush and carefully paint the image starting from the outside paint away from the edge toward the center. *if the edges are not secure you will not have a crisp edge because the paint will bleed.

Do one full coat wait at least 20 min then do another coat. Make sure that the paint is all even and there are no big puddles of paint or lines of extra paint. Now you wait for a few hours until it is dry *if you are in a hurry you can bust out the hair dryer to speed the process up it works like a charm.

Once it is dry you then need to remove all of the freezer paper.

Once it is removed fire up the iron once more, take a scrap of fabric that you don't care to much about and place it over your image then iron on top of the scrap slowly. This will heat set the image. Remove the scrap and you are done. Look in awe at your new T-shirt. You are done, Good Job!!

Now go make lots of different things! Have a great day!

Saving on healthy foods?

On huge problem these days is that junk/crap processed food that tastes so good and is 100 times worse for us is so much cheaper then the good stuff and there are always coupons for them. There are two solutions to this:

        1. Price Match
-Walmart will price match any competitors price right at the register, you dont even need the add of the item you want to price match.

        2. Bountiful Baskets
-Bountiful Baskets (BB) is such an amazing thing I can not praise it enough. BB is a Co-op that is free to join. Each Monday you go on their website and order your basket which is 16.50 for a full large laundry basket full of fresh produce. They also offer an upgrade to a organic box option at an additional price. They have extras too like Coconut Oil, Fresh tortillas, bread, cookies, granola, large boxes of produce that are great for canning, it is always different so it is a surprise every week. The only catch is if you do not like that you dont get to pick out your own fruit and get just what you want then you will not like BB. Every week the produce is different which I love because my family has now eaten/tried so many new veggies that I never would have bought had I gone to a store. I love it and the people that are there every Saturday morning at 5:20am to help sort the veggies and fruit, Note: you are NOT required to go and sort the produce I just do it because I love it and love talking to my friends, you just have to show up and get your delicious produce.
They have many different sites in many states so just check out the website to see if there is a site near you.

Hope this helps even a little. Have a great day!

Next we have Zulily!
Zulily is just like Totsy and they often get similar items but they are always a little different in prices. I got our girls a Trampoline last year for Christmas and they love it!

Now for coupons there are a few different sites to choose from the number one site is
Coupons.com

SmartSource.com
Target.com and don't forget that with target you can use a manufacturer coupon and a target coupon on the same item! target savers made a great post of how to know which coupon is a target and which is a manufacturer coupon go here.
Also did you know that Amazon has coupons? Yep they do here! They also have great deals that are constantly changing and if you have a gamer in your house like I do they often have promos with popular games if you pre-order them!

What to do with a pair of jeans that has a hole?

A while ago my oldest girl made some big holes in the knees of her pants but since it was just changing into summer I decided to just cut them off to cute board shorts but then I was left with 2 of these

I hung on to them, and thank goodness I did because my 15 month old was in dire need of a cute simple jean skirt.

To start out you have to un-pick one of the edges. I chose the outside edge since it was not double stitched and would look great as the side of the skirt. so it should look like this..
Do you see where I un-stitched it? Great!! Here is where I totally forgot to take pictures but dont worry it is super simple YAY!!
Now you lay your two pieces right sides together and stitch the edges then you finish the bottom hem where you had to un-stich it. Next you have 2 options you can either do as I did and just take some elastic the size you need and sew it on to the top of the skirt with the longest stitch you have on your machine or you can find some coordinating fabric and add it on top them put elastic through... I hope you understand what I mean by that.
It only took about 20 mins to make and the longest part was un-stiching the seam.

Here is what the finished Product looks like. I absolutely love how it turned out and the best part is it will grow with her since it is a little longer. I'm one happy Momma.

Color block dress from t-shirts

I realized Temperance does not have much in the dress department. So this week I set out to make her some super comfy but cheap, since she is growing like crazy, dresses. I grabbed some of my T-shirts that I don't wear anymore, lets face it we all have a few of those, and came up with this super cute color block dress for her. She rocks it like a rock star! I loved it because she was able to move un-restricted and I didnt feel bad about putting her down for her nap in it. I will try to do a tutorial soon since I will be making more this week, but for now enjoy some pictures of my super chubby baby girl.

Such a funny face in this picture but here is the front of the dress

Turtle shirt with crayon

Last night as the hubby, who is a graphic designer you can see his website here, was out late at a work thing so I made this little shirt for a drawing I made my husband draw for me the night before. The shirt turned out great and then as I was adding the crayon turtle I was not paying attention and a birds butt ,that Michael also drew, got on there. Grrr! So I had to figure out how the heck I would cover it up and decided to add the words Turtle to the side. It still came out cute and Im happy with it. Im going to be making some little shorts to go with it. Enjoy the pictures.

No-Yeast Lemon Muffins

A couple of days ago I saw this sweet little number yummy!!

But as I went to make them I realized I did not have any yeast and I didn't want to run to the store either. So I searched for yeast free rolls and finally found one that worked if I changed a few things. They didn't really turn out like rolls more like dense yummy muffins. So here is what I did to make some yummy lemon glaze muffins that look like this...

To make these you will need

Muffins
2 Cups Flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp Salt
1 1/2 cups water *you can substitute a little lemon for some of the water to make them lemony. Yummy!

muffin baking topping
1 Lemon Zest
1/2 Cups sugar
3 TBS Butter

Lemon glaze
1/2 Cup Powder sugar
1 TBS Lemon Juice

Pre-heat oven to 350. Mix all muffin ingredients together and spoon into greased muffin or cupcake pans. Next pour melted putter over dough then mix sugar and zest together and divide evenly on top of un-cooked muffins. Bake in oven for 25 mins. While those are baking combine the lemon glaze, pour over hot muffins. Let Muffins cool completely in pans that way they will stay soft. Once cool enough enjoy! They are best eaten the same day.

Have a great day!

Goodbye 2011, Hello 2012

Where the heck did December go? Was it just me or did it feel like it was only a week long? For us we spent Christmas with 3 sick kids of course! So for 2 weeks I was busy taking care of my sickies and trying to not catch it myself (which I have managed to do YAY!) But some how I was also able to get some stuff/crafts done that Ive had my eye on. For starters I mad a couple of these bad boys: I made one as a white elephant gift for my husbands company party but I couldn't stop there... Ive made a total of 4 bearded beanies plus 4 regular beanies! I cant believe I didn't learn to crochet sooner I have so many things I wanna try to make!

My Dad in his bearded beanie made with a store bought beanie

For Christmas I usually make my girls each a fun pretty girly dress but this year I decided to make some cute little christmas vests instead. But since they were sick they never wore them darn it! Oh well I will have to dress them up in them and take pictures one of these days.

Then I made this shirt for my Dad for Christmas...The man loves his hunting trips and his Wife (aka my mom)

While I was making his shirt I forgot to put something between the shirt layers while painting so I had to improvise to cover up the paint that went through to the back. Here is what I came up with...
For some reason it is not loading properly I will try to figure it out later oh well
Have a wonderful Day and make 2012 the best year ever!

Pinning has been going on...

Sorry Its been a while since my last post but I promise you I have been marking off some of my "Pins".  And here is the list of them ready set GO....

First here is a picture of the baby beanie I crocheted..

Second up we have some very yummy Pizza balls I saw on Pintrest and can I just say they are a huge hit! You can find the recipe here. Note: when making them the thinner the dough around the stuffings the better! :) We also made some homemade pizza sauce and dipped them in that so they were not dry. Two Thumbs Up!! So to make these yummy finger foods :
You need your favorite pizza dough, cheese, and desired fillings.
Take a small ball of your dough and flatten out then place fillings and cheese chunk in the middle of dough bring the dough around the fillings and pinch it shut place seam side down in a greased pan. Rub olive oil on the tops then sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake at 350 for 12 min or until light brown on top.

Third I saw something similar to this bow on pintrest but didn't actually pin it and just made it up as I went. It turned out Ok but I think I might try making it a little smaller next time.

Last these are not a pin just some fun super yummy cup cakes I made. This frosting is so yummy and fluffy and perfect for decorating. Remember the Monster cake? This is the recipe I used for his hair. It is

Butter cream frosting
Note: I know this is not a true butter cream recipe but it is great for decorating because it keeps its shape!
1 cup Crisco
1 stick butter
1tsp Meringue powder
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp Vanilla
2 lb powdered sugar
Food coloring of choice (optional)

First cream crisco, butter, and Meringue together. Then add milk and sugar mix for 3 min or so until it gets nice and fluffy. Then add vanilla and food coloring. If it is to stiff to work with add more milk 1 tsp at a time until you get desired consistency!

Enjoy and Happy Holidays
